The town has filled to capacity with every boarding house, self catering holiday home and hotel booked weeks in advance. People are still calling and enquiring after accommodation - but with nothing available peope are being disappointed.The summer festival runs for a whole week, with soemthing for everyone in ters of activities across Brighton and Hove; keep your eye on the whats on page for up to date listings. As this is the only official Brighton Pride magazine you can be sure it will have everything you need to know about the summer festival week, main event at Preston Park and the Carnival Parade.Prides organising body happily announced the theme for this year’s celebrations in September last year. Following a record number of suggestions from Pride members and the public the Board of Trustees and Staff eventually decided for the theme ‘Pride Beside The Seaside’ a suggestion made by Saskia Jackson from Hove.Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It promotes understanding of these human rights by promoting and facilitating a number of events including Winter Pride and the annual free summer festival. It also uses its own success to promote and financially support other voluntary and charitable organisations..
